Complete the Look Setup Guide
Enable one embed, let the stylist read your catalogue, then spend a few minutes approving outfits instead of building them.
Before you start
- An Online Store 2.0 theme, so the theme editor has an
App embedssection - At least a handful of published, in stock products. Two is the technical minimum, but the stylist has more to work with past twenty
- Products organised into collections helps a lot, because collections are how the stylist decides what belongs together
1
Enable the widget on your theme
- Install the app and open it from
Appsin your Shopify admin. - On the Dashboard, click
Enable widget. The theme editor opens atApp embeds. - Switch on
Complete the Lookand clickSave. - Back in the app, open
Widgetto confirm the status card is green.
2
Set your styling rules first
- Open
AI Stylistand expandStyling rulesbefore your first run. Rules apply to future runs only, so setting them now saves you rejecting suggestions later. Match by collectionis on by default and keeps pairings inside your own merchandising.- Set
Items per lookbetween two and four. Three is the default. - Add a price ceiling if you do not want expensive items bundled onto cheap anchors.
- Exclude collections or tags that should never be suggested, such as gift cards or internal products.
3
Run the stylist
- Still on
AI Stylist, choose a scope: your entire catalogue, one collection, or up to twenty hand-picked products. - Choose how many outfits you want, five, ten or twenty. The app tells you how many of your monthly suggestions the run will use before you confirm.
- Click Generate. The run happens in the background, so you can leave the page. You get a toast when the suggestions are ready.
4
Approve what is good
- The review queue shows each suggested outfit with its items, prices and a one line reason for the pairing.
Dismissthe ones that are wrong, then useApprove allfor the rest. Rejecting a few is faster than approving each one.- Approving creates
draftlooks, not published ones. Nothing reaches your storefront until you publish it fromLooks. - Suggestions built on products that sell out or get unpublished drop off the queue on their own.
5
Add a discount, then publish
- Open a look from
Looks. Under the bundle offer, choose a percentage or a fixed amount off. - The offer is created as a Shopify automatic discount. It applies in the cart whenever two or more items from that look are present, with no code for the shopper to enter.
- Decide per item whether shoppers pick their own size, or whether the item is locked to one variant.
- Check the preview on the right, switch it between desktop and mobile, then publish.
6
Shape the widget
- Open
Widgetto set where it appears: under the add to cart button, at the bottom of the page, or at your own CSS selector. - Choose a stacked list or a carousel, set your heading and accent colour, and edit any label the widget shows.
- If you also run Vensa Try-On, switch on the
Try this lookbutton here so shoppers can try the whole outfit on.
Good to know
- Run the stylist over one collection first. It is a smaller thing to judge than your whole catalogue, and it tells you quickly whether the rules need adjusting.
- The stylist ranks candidates by category first, then shared collections, then price proximity, then stock and recent sales. Products that are draft, sold out, or gift cards are never suggested.
- Analytics only counts an item when the widget put it in the cart. The bundle discount can fire on carts the app had nothing to do with, and those are deliberately not counted.
- Widget views are counted only when the widget actually scrolled into view, so your click-through rate is not diluted by people who never reached it.
- Refunds are not deducted from reported revenue.
- On Pro, a look can have an on-model photo of the full outfit generated for it, if you also run Vensa AI Product Photos.
