Limit swatches per card

A product with twenty colours would overflow its card. Cards show up to five swatches by default, then a +N link that opens the product page with every option.

Change the limit

  1. 1

    Find the card style

In Options, note which style the option uses in the Collection page column. Then go to Styles, open the Product cards tab and click Customize on that style.

  2. 2

    Set Max swatches per product

Move the Max swatches per product slider (3 to 20, 5 to start).

  3. 3

    Style the +N button

Under +N button style, choose Match the style, Solid border or Dashed border. For solid and dashed, you can also set the +N border and text colours.

  4. 4

    Save

    Click Save.

Note

The limit belongs to the style, so it applies to every option that uses it on cards. For a different limit on one option, duplicate the style, change the copy, and assign it. See Create your own style.

Good to know

  • Shoppers who tap +N land on the product page, where every value is shown.
  • When sold-out values are set to Hidden, they're skipped and don't count toward the limit.
  • Card swatches stay small whatever the product page size, so a grid stays even.
