The Dashboard
The Dashboard is the first page you see when you open the app. It tells you whether swatches are live, what still needs attention, and where to get help.

Getting started checklist
Until setup is complete, a Getting started card lists three steps with a progress count:
| Step | Button | Done when |
|---|---|---|
| Add swatches to your product pages | Add to product page | The Color swatches block is on your product template. |
| Show swatches on collection pages | Enable on theme | The Collection swatches embed is on. |
| Review and configure your options | Review options | You have saved a style for at least one option. |
Each step ticks itself off. The card disappears when all three are done, or you can hide it earlier from its More options menu with Dismiss.
Where swatches appear
Two cards answer the most important question: is the app actually live on your store?
| Card | Status | Button |
|---|---|---|
| Product page | Active, Not added or Unknown | Add to product page, or Edit in theme editor once added |
| Collection pages | On, Off or Unknown | Enable on theme, or Manage in theme editor once on |
Unknown means the app couldn't read your theme's settings. It doesn't mean swatches are off; check a product or collection page on your store.
At a glance
| Number | What it counts |
|---|---|
| Options styled | Options you have chosen a style for, out of all options in your catalog. |
| Values mapped | Values that have a colour or an image, out of all values. |
| Unmapped values | Values still waiting for a colour or image. Click the number to open Options. |
Banners you might see
| Banner | Meaning | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Setting up… | The app is reading your catalog for the first time and mapping swatches. | Nothing. It clears by itself. |
| Swatches aren't on your product pages yet | The Color swatches block isn't on your product template. | Click Add to product page. |
| We couldn't finish updating your catalog | A background update failed, so the app is working from the last version it read. | Click Retry. If it keeps happening, contact support. |
| Your storefront is out of date | Your settings were saved in the app but couldn't be published to your store. | Save again. If it keeps happening, contact support. |
Updating
An Updating label next to the page title means the app is taking in a product change you just made in Shopify. It clears on its own, usually within a few seconds, and needs nothing from you.
Sync options & swatches
The button at the top of the Dashboard re-reads every product right away. You rarely need it: the app follows your product edits on its own. Reach for it after a bulk import, or when something in the app looks out of date. See Keeping the catalog in sync.
Get help
The Need help? card holds both halves of support. Read the guides links straight to Getting started, Install and sync, and the FAQ, which cover most questions.
Below that is free setup assistance. Pick a topic to open a chat with your question already written:
- Swatches not showing up
- Need setup assistance
- Customize swatch design
Or click Chat with us to start a conversation from scratch.
Every page in the app also has a Guide link at the top right, opening the documentation for whatever you are looking at.
