Install the app

   Install from the Shopify App Store

   Find Vensa: Color Swatch & Variants in the Shopify App Store, click Install and approve the permissions the app asks for.

   Open the app

   Open it from Apps in your Shopify admin. You land on the Dashboard, where every setup step starts.

   

What happens on first open

The first time the Dashboard loads, the app gets to work in the background and shows a Setting up… banner. While it runs, the app:

• Reads your products and lists every option (Color, Size, Material…) and every value.
• Maps a colour or image to each value, first from any swatch you already set on that value in Shopify, then from a built-in colour dictionary.
• Gives every option a starting style: variant photos for colour options, buttons for everything else.
• Looks at your published theme to learn where its variant picker and its product card prices sit, so swatches land in the right place.

The banner disappears when it finishes. Large catalogs take a little longer, and you can keep working in the meantime.

Keeping the catalog in sync

After that first read, the app keeps up on its own. Edit a product in Shopify and the change reaches the app within a few seconds: new options and values appear, renamed ones follow, and deleted ones drop out. While that is happening the Dashboard shows an Updating label next to its title, and it needs nothing from you.

So syncing by hand is a fallback, not a routine. Use it after a bulk import, or when something in the app looks out of date:

   Open the Dashboard or Options

   Both pages have the sync button at the top.

   Click Sync options & swatches

   The app re-reads your products and pulls in new options, new values and any swatch colours or images you set in Shopify.

   Wait for the sync to finish

   The page refreshes on its own when the sync is done. If a sync is already running, the app tells you instead of starting a second one.
