When rules overlap
A product can be targeted by more than one rule. When that happens, one simple principle decides the result: rules run top to bottom, and the lower one wins.
How the style is decided
- The app starts from the option's style in Options.
- It goes down your rules list, top to bottom, skipping rules that are off or don't target the product.
- Each matching rule that sets something for the option replaces the result so far. No change leaves it alone.
- Whatever is left after the last rule is what shoppers see.
Example
A red tee is in both the Summer and the Clearance collections:

If the Clearance rule left Color on No change, the product would keep Color swatch from the Summer rule.

Clear search and filters
The arrows only appear when the list shows every rule: empty the search box and set the status filter to All statuses.

Move the rule
Use Move up and Move down on the rule. The new order is saved straight away.
Tip
Put broad rules (a whole collection) near the top and specific ones (a few products) near the bottom, so the specific ones win.
