Wishlist drawer and page

Decide where the header or floating wishlist icon takes shoppers. You can open a drawer over the current page, use the built-in app page or create a Shopify page with your own URL.

Set up the drawer

  1. 1

    Select Slide-out drawer

Open Display → Shopper wishlist → Display as and select Slide-out drawer. Choose Open from Right or Left.

  2. 2

    Set the width and contents

Choose Compact, Standard or Wide under Drawer width. Select Small, Standard or Large Product image size, a Filled or Outline Add-to-cart button, and Light, Standard or Dark background dimming.

  3. 3

    Preview both list states

Switch Live preview to Drawer, then compare With products and Empty wishlist. Set Wishlist title, Empty message and the optional empty-list shopping button. Save and open the drawer from the real storefront.

Use the built-in full page

Select Full page, keep Wishlist page → App page (default) and save. The standard built-in path is /apps/wishlist/page. The embed must remain enabled because it renders the saved list on that page. You do not need a separate Shopify page for this choice.

Create a page on your store

  1. 1

    Select the friendly-URL option

Choose Full page → A page on my store (friendly URL). Click Create the page for me once, or use an existing Shopify page you want to dedicate to the wishlist.

The action creates and publishes a Shopify page and returns its actual path. Use that returned path; do not assume Shopify always chooses /pages/wishlist if that handle already exists.

  2. 2

Add the app block to the page template

In the theme editor, open the template used by this page. Use a dedicated page template if you do not want the wishlist block on other pages that share the same template. Add the Wishlist page app block where the grid should appear, then save the theme.

  3. 3

    Set the block heading

The block has a Heading field, initially Your wishlist. This heading belongs to the custom page. The Wishlist title field in Display controls the drawer and built-in app page instead.

  4. 4

Save the page path in Display

Enter a path in Page URL, for example /pages/wishlist, then save Display. Use a store path rather than a complete domain, and omit a language prefix such as /fr. The field accepts a /pages/… path.

  5. 5

Test the page and access icon

With an item saved in the same browser, open the custom page directly. Then open it through the header or floating wishlist icon. Both should show the saved list, rather than an empty Shopify page or a different destination.

Page created, but only a heading appears

Creating the page does not insert the app block. Also, the block depends on the Vensa Wishlist Widget embed. Check the assigned page template, the block and the embed together.

What Share does

Show share button on the app page lets a visitor share the app page's address. A person opening that address sees their own wishlist. It is not a public gift-registry link to the sender's saved items.
