Manage plans and the spending limit
Manage subscriptions from Billing inside Shopify admin. The standalone support interface displays billing in read-only mode.
Change a plan
- 1
Review the plan card
Open Billing and compare the price, included allowance and additional-usage rate shown for the available plans.
- 2
Choose the plan and review confirmation
Use its upgrade or change action and review the app's confirmation. Complete the Shopify approval step when presented.
- 3
Return and verify
Return to Billing and check the current plan, allowance and reset date. Mid-cycle allowances may differ from the standard plan amount; read the values displayed for this cycle.
Change the additional-usage spending limit
On a paid plan, use the additional-usage limit controls in Billing to enter a new amount. The editor does not allow a limit below the amount already spent and enforces a minimum amount. Review and complete any Shopify confirmation, especially when raising the limit, then return to verify the result.
What the limit covers
The spending limit caps additional usage for the cycle. It is separate from the plan's subscription price. Lowering it does not undo charges already incurred.
Return to Free
Use the subscription cancellation action in Billing and review its confirmation. After cancellation, the app returns the store to Free and restores Free-plan branding. Existing usage may leave no free allowance available immediately; check the updated usage screen.
If an action fails
- You are managing Billing from Shopify admin, not the standalone support view.
- The Shopify confirmation step has been completed.
- The displayed error and current plan have been checked after refreshing the page.
- If the app and Shopify disagree, send support the displayed error and approximate time before repeatedly attempting the same change.
