Billing and usage
Open Billing in the Shopify admin app to see the current plan, included try-ons, additional usage, spending limit and next reset date. The values shown there apply to your store.
Included and additional usage
| Plan type | Usage behavior |
|---|---|
| Free | Included allowance only. There is no paid overage; the widget can be hidden after the allowance is exhausted. |
| Starter, Growth and Pro | An included allowance plus paid additional try-ons up to the store's spending limit. |
| Store-specific allowance | A store may have an adjusted allowance or a mid-cycle change. Use the current Billing usage card rather than inferring availability from a plan name. |
Check the plan cards and Shopify approval screen for the actual price, allowance and additional-try-on rate before subscribing. All paid tiers in the current app support additional usage; it is not exclusive to Pro.
Understand usage messages
- Approaching the included allowance: paid additional usage may begin after it is consumed.
- Additional charges active: the store has used generations beyond the included allowance.
- Spending limit reached: the remaining budget cannot cover another additional try-on; new generations stop and the button may be hidden.
- Next reset: the date shown in Billing is the relevant store cycle boundary; do not assume every store resets on the first of the month.
What counts as a test
Real generations performed on the storefront use the store's allowance, even when performed by the merchant. The Designs preview is a layout preview. Per-user weekly limits apply separately and are not removed by upgrading a plan.
Failed generation and charges
The app attempts to restore included usage after a generation error. Do not assume an additional-usage charge has automatically been reversed: if a failure coincides with an unexpected charge or usage count, contact support with the time and product.
