Image retention and saved results
Uploaded person photos, generated images and the shopper's browser history have different lifetimes. A history entry can remain visible after its linked result image is no longer available.
Image-retention control
In Try-On → Settings → Customer Image Retention, Keep uploaded images for offers 1 day, 3 days and 7 days. Save after changing the selection.
Current Shopify behavior
The current Shopify storefront path creates generations with the default one-day image-retention value. The longer selection is saved in the editor but is not passed through that path. Treat Shopify result links as short-lived and contact support if you need longer retention.
Images and browser records

Cleanup is scheduled rather than performed at an exact instant. Editing the retention field does not extend the expiry already assigned to an existing result. Browser history is local to the device and browser; it is not an account-wide image archive.
Keep a result you need
Enable the result screen's Save action and download the generated image while it is available. A share link points to the hosted image and can stop working after cleanup.
Deleting a history row
Removing an entry from a shopper's local gallery and deleting an admin History record are separate operations. Neither should be used as confirmation that every stored image copy has been erased. Contact support for an image-removal request.
