Wishlist button is missing

Identify which button is missing, then check its own display settings on the correct theme. A product-page button, product-card heart and wishlist access button use separate controls.

Start with one reproducible page

Copy the affected storefront URL and note the theme you are viewing. Use a full product page for the first test. A quick-view modal, a home-page card and the theme editor preview may each use different markup.

  1. 1

    Confirm the theme and embed

In Shopify's theme editor for that theme, open App embeds, turn on Vensa Wishlist Widget and save. If you are checking the public store, this must be the published theme. Enabling it only in a draft theme does not change the public storefront.

Return to Display and use Check again if the app still shows the activation prompt. Refresh the product page after saving.

  2. 2

    Check the product-page position

Open Display → Wishlist button and inspect Position on product page. For a custom position, confirm that the selector matches an element on this product template. For an image placement, inspect the selected image container.

Temporarily try the standard position near Add to cart and save. If the button appears there, the embed works and the original position or selector needs attention.

  3. 3

    Check product cards separately

If the product-page button works but card hearts do not, enable Show wishlist icon on product cards and the relevant collection, search or home surface. Review Product card selector (optional) against an actual card in that theme.

If visibility is set to hover, move over a desktop card. Check mobile separately because it does not have the same hover interaction.

  4. 4

    Check access buttons

If the missing control is in the header or at the corner of the screen, review Floating and header buttons. A floating button configured as a fallback can intentionally hide when a header icon is available. Test the header at mobile width as well.

  5. 5

    Inspect CSS and overlays

Check Custom CSS for display, visibility, opacity, position or stacking rules affecting the widget. Temporarily remove the suspected rule and save a copy first. Cookie banners, sticky cart controls or other overlays can also cover a visible button.

Verify the fix

  • The button is visible on the affected URL after a refresh.
  • Clicking saves the intended product or selected variant and changes the saved state.
  • The item appears when you open the wishlist in the same browser.
  • The button remains usable at mobile width.

If the issue remains, send support the store URL, product URL, theme name, affected screen width, selected position and selector. Include a screenshot of the result and relevant Display section so the placement can be reproduced.
