Will the app break add to cart?
No. The app doesn't replace your add to cart. When a shopper taps a swatch, the app selects the same value in your theme's own (hidden) picker, and your theme does the rest: price, images, availability and cart.
What keeps it working
- Your theme's variant picker stays in the product template. The app hides it and drives it.
- Your theme's price, photos, buy buttons and cart stay exactly as they are.
Warning
If you remove the theme's variant picker from the template, the theme can't switch variants, and add to cart may add the wrong item or the first variant.
If the wrong variant is added
- The theme's variant picker is still in the product template.
- There's only one Color swatches block on the template.
- Another app that changes the variant picker isn't active on the same page.
