Storefront translations
Translate the widget in Try-On → Designs → Translations. These text overrides follow the storefront language; they are separate from the language used in the Shopify admin app.
Add a translation
- 1
Complete the default text
Set the default button and modal labels first. The default language supplies fallback text for other languages.
- 2
Add a language
Use Add language and select a language from the store's available languages. The app reads Shopify's store-language list.
- 3
Translate the fields
Edit the button, modal, upload, processing, result, email-capture and error text you want to override. Non-text styling keeps the default settings.
- 4
Save and test that storefront language
Save, open a product in the corresponding storefront language and check each modal step. Switching the admin app's language alone does not switch the storefront widget.
Fallback and removal
Leave a translated field empty to use its default-language value. Use Remove language and save to remove that language's overrides. For AI tips, keep translated tips aligned with the default list, especially after adding or removing a tip.
Translation scope
These controls translate the configurable text fields. Some runtime messages and shopper-history controls use built-in wording. Do not assume every visible string changes when one language is added.
If the translation does not show
- The page is open in the intended Shopify storefront language.
- The matching language was added in Designs and its fields were saved.
- The field contains an override rather than an empty fallback.
- The storefront page was refreshed after saving.
