The try-on button is missing
Check theme activation, page type, coverage, audience, usage and placement in that order. Several independent conditions must pass before a shopper sees the button.
Check the display conditions
- 1
Check the theme embed
Open the published theme's App embeds panel. Turn on Virtual Try-On and save. If testing an unpublished theme, open that theme's preview deliberately.
- 2
Open a product page
The widget targets full product pages. A collection selection does not add buttons to cards or quick-view popups.
- 3
Check Products
In Try-On → Products, confirm all-products mode is on, the product is individually selected, or it belongs to a selected collection. Save any change.
- 4
Check Visibility
Confirm the test visitor matches Try-On → Visibility. Test guests and signed-in customers separately; segment mode also waits for a membership check.
- 5
Check Billing
Review available allowance and remaining additional-usage budget. Exhausted store usage can hide the widget.
- 6
Check position and CSS
Look at the configured floating position. For Custom element, verify the selector. Review recent Custom CSS changes that could hide or cover the button.
Narrow down a theme issue
If you intend the button to be public, save Floating position and test an eligible product in a fresh browser session. If it appears there, revisit the custom selector or audience rule you were using. Use the same product link when comparing results.
What to send support
- Store address and affected product URL.
- Theme name and whether you are testing the published theme or a preview.
- Whether the visitor is a guest, signed-in customer or segment member.
- A description of the saved position, relevant coverage and any usage warning.
