Before you uninstall
Export anything you need and review your subscription before removing the app. Temporarily disabling the theme embed and uninstalling the app are different actions.
Before removal
- Export needed records from Emails → Export CSV, using the intended filters.
- Download any generated images you want to keep while their links still work.
- Keep a copy of custom widget text and CSS if you may reuse them.
- Review the current subscription and usage in Billing.
If you only want to pause display
Turn off Virtual Try-On in the theme's App embeds panel and save. This hides the widget; it does not cancel a subscription. Use Billing to manage the plan if needed.
After uninstalling
Remove the app through Shopify admin and verify a product page no longer shows the widget. Do not assume an uninstall immediately erases every record or guarantees those records will be available after reinstalling. Data cleanup and storefront removal are separate processes.
Data-removal requests
For removal of uploaded or generated images, contact support with your store address and enough information to identify the affected results. Deleting History rows or removing the embed is not confirmation that hosted files have been deleted.
If you reinstall
Review the theme embed, product coverage, design, visibility and Billing state again, then perform a fresh storefront test. Retained settings and expired image links should not be treated as a backup.
