Wrong image or cart variant

The product photo used by AI, the generated result and the cart variant are related but separate. Check each when a color change or saved result behaves unexpectedly.

Check a new try-on

  1. 1

    Check the Shopify variant image

Confirm the variant has its correct image assigned in Shopify. A missing image can leave the widget using its current product photo.

  2. 2

    Select the variant before generating

Choose the color on the product page and wait for the theme to update. Generate a new result rather than inspecting a previously saved one.

  3. 3

    Check the result context

A result opened from shopper history can belong to another variant or product. Its cart button uses its saved variant where available.

  4. 4

    Verify the actual cart item

Add the intended item and inspect its variant in the cart. If the wrong variant is used, stop the test and report the theme and exact product/variant selection to support.

If only the gallery replacement is wrong

Check Try-On → Designs → Result & Cart → Product image selector. This controls which storefront image is replaced after generation; it does not assign the input photo to a Shopify variant.

Theme integration checks

Custom themes and quick-view flows may communicate variant changes differently. Keep the theme's normal picker working and test on the full product page. Send support a reproducible sequence, including the initial variant and the variant selected next.
